We've been passionate about cats all our lives and so when we had the chance to escape the rat race, this seemed like the perfect option. We've built The Cattery to meet all of the higher standard guidelines in the recently revised Animal Welfare Regulations 2018, which already improved on the existing standards. We want to offer the very best, as that's what we want for our cats.
Welcome to The Cattery @ Cherry Tree Farm, a brand new boutique cattery offering the very best care for your cat. I'm Amy, and along with my husband Jon, I run the cattery on a day to day basis.
This is our gorgeous girl Summer, a stunning silver and cream tabby Maine Coon. She's often up to quiet mischief and capable of producing lugs quicker than we can comb them out. If you don't see her around that's because she's quite shy, but she'll be keeping a curious eye on all our guests.
We won't claim to understand cats, no one does, that's why we all love them so much, but we will always do our best for them - from keeping up to date on the latest thinking around cat behaviour to spending a little extra time with those who need it. We've both had a lifetime of experience looking after both moggies and pure breeds, some old, some with complex medical needs. Additionally I've undertaken a qualification in pet first aid and completed an icatcare (previously the feline advisory bureau) practical cattery management course.
